Peace deals are breaking out and so are wars. I have long argued that the conflicts between the superpowers would end in a hug because 1. They always do and 2. The alternative is impossible (a superpower war that leaves Earth, or swaths of it, unhabitable). The historic peace deal between many Islamic states and Israel is in motion, despite all those who argued that it was impossible. "Gaz-A-Lago" is going to happen, meaning a new Palestinian state will not only be created. It will be constructed for viability and permanence. The US and Islamic nations have committed to create the inclusive economic infrastructure needed to support the residents - a modern Marshall Plan. They have also committed to an exclusive infrastructure, meaning a modern Justice [Panopticon](https://substack.com/redirect/2ee2c8b1-811a-4c53-8179-5e610dae927c?j=eyJ1IjoiYjNxeXEifQ.3GwI9geOCoCEYpElQZon94zKK4lcJdLM40-IOmRMnr4) designed to prevent Hamas and any other opposition actors (including factions or rogue elements of Israel, Mossad or America's Deep State) from gaining a foothold there, or anyone else who might want to break the rules, kill or destroy. One imagines that this place will be a construction sandbox for the most modern building techniques. Houses and hospitals 3D printed in days. It will be society constantly canvassed for signs of trouble. Want to build? There will be support. Want to destroy? There will be deportation and worse. IS this a good model? The right model? The point is, this is the model that is going to be built.

Geopolitical Hugs…..

But, to secure the peace in the Middle East, there have to be wars elsewhere. The agreement to create a Palestinian State is influencing many other geopolitical negotiations including Ukraine, Venezuela, and other seemingly unlikely places. Make no mistake. We are witnessing a modern day [Yalta](https://substack.com/redirect/0c029927-2cc7-44d1-b080-139570e91d03?j=eyJ1IjoiYjNxeXEifQ.3GwI9geOCoCEYpElQZon94zKK4lcJdLM40-IOmRMnr4). Just as Roosevelt, Churchill and Stalin carved the world up so that WWII could end, today Trump, Putin are engaging in a Grand Bargain which involves carving up the world today. China is involved too but that's for another article.

It is perhaps no coincidence that the [Yalta agreement, which ended WWII, happened in Crimea](https://substack.com/redirect/0661084c-6d95-40d5-b1b1-b4e26f4ac13c?j=eyJ1IjoiYjNxeXEifQ.3GwI9geOCoCEYpElQZon94zKK4lcJdLM40-IOmRMnr4), which is exactly the location that Russia is negotiating to keep control of now. As the superpowers carve up the world map today, their focus is not just on borders, though the negotiation is about territory -- real and virtual. It's about control. The Europeans and smaller nations can rail against this all they want but the superpowers are not asking for anybody else's opinion. They are trying to prevent a kinetic conflict. They are trying to avoid a nuclear confrontation.

The commitment to the Middle East peace deal and a Palestinian State is so great now that individual transgressions against the deal are not going to break it. Notice the Qatari diplomats who were killed in a suspicious car accident on the way to the gathering that blessed to deal in Sharm el Sheik. They are now described as "[staff](https://substack.com/redirect/f8300933-1955-4aa1-9494-a0985a3e55c8?j=eyJ1IjoiYjNxeXEifQ.3GwI9geOCoCEYpElQZon94zKK4lcJdLM40-IOmRMnr4)" but they were actually [quite senior members of the ruling family and the country's diplomatic service. They had personally negotiated with Hamas to get the deal done](https://substack.com/redirect/76e97340-74ab-4a21-b4be-ba61b3d62729?j=eyJ1IjoiYjNxeXEifQ.3GwI9geOCoCEYpElQZon94zKK4lcJdLM40-IOmRMnr4). Yet, the whole story has virtually disappeared. No doubt someone will be held accountable, but not publicly or visibly. The deal take precedent over the reprisals.

[If (or as) Hamas crosses the line and starts killing again, Trump now promises to remove them individually rather than allow Hamas to become a threat to the deal itself.](https://substack.com/redirect/e1b47ce4-e6cd-4b48-a061-47467156eebf?j=eyJ1IjoiYjNxeXEifQ.3GwI9geOCoCEYpElQZon94zKK4lcJdLM40-IOmRMnr4) This is a hard line commitment not only to the peace deal. It is a piece of a much larger Grand Bargain which seeks to secure a lasting peace between and even within the superpowers. So, we can expect to see more peace deals in places like Ukraine, between The US and Russia more broadly, and between the US and China. President Trump's confidence coming out of the Sharm el Sheik Summit was so high that he confidently declared "[there will be no WWIII](https://substack.com/redirect/310498f8-13c5-44e4-9fbc-4de7eb04f4da?j=eyJ1IjoiYjNxeXEifQ.3GwI9geOCoCEYpElQZon94zKK4lcJdLM40-IOmRMnr4)". How can he be so sure? The answer is that the stage is already set for the next big peace deal - Ukraine.

This deal is not being brokered between the US and Russia, though that's where teh media attention is. Rather, the US and Russia are together agreeing to the steps each will take: The US to dhut down it's Deep State. Russia to shut down its organized crime networks in Latin America. Both Russia and China believe that their enemy is not the United States but the factions within the American establishment that operate independently of or in opposition to Trump. As long as Trump looked like he might lose his internal fight, Russia ramped up in Ukraine and China leaned into harder positions. But, now that Trump is taking his domestic opponents down, Russia and perhaps factions within China are emerging a source of intel to Trump.

Who are the Presidents domestic opponents? Well, Trump currently has the former heads of the [former heads of the CIA](https://substack.com/redirect/37e7911e-32a4-4a12-a532-1e3ce498c811?j=eyJ1IjoiYjNxeXEifQ.3GwI9geOCoCEYpElQZon94zKK4lcJdLM40-IOmRMnr4), [the NSA](https://substack.com/redirect/216e6673-5e98-436f-9f4d-728d870c1050?j=eyJ1IjoiYjNxeXEifQ.3GwI9geOCoCEYpElQZon94zKK4lcJdLM40-IOmRMnr4) and [the FBI](https://substack.com/redirect/7f4171c8-3319-4ec2-8376-172ca58f7971?j=eyJ1IjoiYjNxeXEifQ.3GwI9geOCoCEYpElQZon94zKK4lcJdLM40-IOmRMnr4) lined up for potential trials for alleged treason and sedition. Even if the courtroom trials are derailed or can't happen (thanks to the government shutdown which has even [shuttered The Supreme Court](https://substack.com/redirect/235067a9-5bab-4d45-9aaf-c6ee96b4cf9e?j=eyJ1IjoiYjNxeXEifQ.3GwI9geOCoCEYpElQZon94zKK4lcJdLM40-IOmRMnr4) for now), Trump is trying them in the court of public opinion by releasing ever more evidence of their efforts to overthrow or undermine an elected American President. Trump has already nabbed the leader of the Neocon movement, [John Bolton, who has now been indicted by a Grand Jury](https://substack.com/redirect/bfa43db9-5d30-4b0f-8361-82ea4b28d04f?j=eyJ1IjoiYjNxeXEifQ.3GwI9geOCoCEYpElQZon94zKK4lcJdLM40-IOmRMnr4). Now the Trump team is elevating the [legal attack on ANTIFA](https://substack.com/redirect/b2cb3773-e167-44a4-8157-60bef0c6b822?j=eyJ1IjoiYjNxeXEifQ.3GwI9geOCoCEYpElQZon94zKK4lcJdLM40-IOmRMnr4) which is now designated as a "domestic terror organization". They are establishing the financial links between foreign elements and ANTIFA and NGO's, especially those backed by George Soros, and [especially those that were involved in fomenting the war in Ukraine](https://substack.com/redirect/e944ea83-c00a-494b-8768-d81bcdb75c49?j=eyJ1IjoiYjNxeXEifQ.3GwI9geOCoCEYpElQZon94zKK4lcJdLM40-IOmRMnr4) and [against domestic stability in the US](https://substack.com/redirect/d1942e7c-577c-4181-864d-c19868ac85b6?j=eyJ1IjoiYjNxeXEifQ.3GwI9geOCoCEYpElQZon94zKK4lcJdLM40-IOmRMnr4). The allegation is that Soros spent at least $80m to train and support domestic organizations to pursue "extreme violence" in opposing Trump and his policies. The recipients of this aid deny that this was the purpose. Everyone is waiting to see if Trump will go after President Obama and the Clinton's as well. Hilary Clinton praised Trump for the Palestinian Peace deal but also [keeps encouraging her followers to join the organizations that oppose him](https://substack.com/redirect/aee505ba-0ebc-4028-81d6-76dbfd9675a6?j=eyJ1IjoiYjNxeXEifQ.3GwI9geOCoCEYpElQZon94zKK4lcJdLM40-IOmRMnr4). [Obama encouraged his supporters to rally against Trump](https://substack.com/redirect/e7f2eb34-dc09-4777-a2af-d756169d4f47?j=eyJ1IjoiYjNxeXEifQ.3GwI9geOCoCEYpElQZon94zKK4lcJdLM40-IOmRMnr4). The legal travails of other opponents keep worsening from [Letitia James](https://substack.com/redirect/487ee607-73fa-4eb7-90d9-945faf9c17ea?j=eyJ1IjoiYjNxeXEifQ.3GwI9geOCoCEYpElQZon94zKK4lcJdLM40-IOmRMnr4) to [January 6th FBI participants](https://substack.com/redirect/42b2ec26-3b03-4277-bc62-298551b3afaa?j=eyJ1IjoiYjNxeXEifQ.3GwI9geOCoCEYpElQZon94zKK4lcJdLM40-IOmRMnr4), [Russiagate](https://substack.com/redirect/d6a35710-1a3c-41d3-8d9a-c1c9e4e77df8?j=eyJ1IjoiYjNxeXEifQ.3GwI9geOCoCEYpElQZon94zKK4lcJdLM40-IOmRMnr4) players, etc. This is a domestic civil war being played out in the courts and in policy.

In response to Trump's efforts to take down his so-called Deep State opponents, Russia has just re-introduced the proposal that Nikita Khrushchev made to President John F. Kennedy in 1963 to build a "Peace Bridge/Tunnel" in the Arctic that would connect the US and Russia at the closest point, across the Bering Sea. [Kirill Demetriev](https://substack.com/redirect/fad1bd52-ec4e-4e85-a7c8-1398d0c09a4e?j=eyJ1IjoiYjNxeXEifQ.3GwI9geOCoCEYpElQZon94zKK4lcJdLM40-IOmRMnr4), Head of Russia's Direct Investment Fund, tweeted an image of the bridge that Kennedy and Khrushchev had begun to discuss before Kennedy was killed. [Demetriev](https://substack.com/redirect/fad1bd52-ec4e-4e85-a7c8-1398d0c09a4e?j=eyJ1IjoiYjNxeXEifQ.3GwI9geOCoCEYpElQZon94zKK4lcJdLM40-IOmRMnr4) said Elon Musk's Boring Company could build it for only $8b. Remember that Trump and Putin recently met in Alaska, near this very spot. It's interesting that this bridge/tunnel would cross the two tiny islands that divide the two countries. These are called the Diomede Islands. This refers to the Greek mythology hero Diomedes, which means "divinely cunning." (Islands keep playing a critical part in geopolitics these days! Trump also laid down a clear red line regarding Finland. His recent highly visible meetings with the Finnish President and commitment to the Ice Pact. [The deal moves Finnish Ice Breaker building expertise to Texas](https://substack.com/redirect/f313e61c-ec63-4d3a-85d1-b8a40151be40?j=eyJ1IjoiYjNxeXEifQ.3GwI9geOCoCEYpElQZon94zKK4lcJdLM40-IOmRMnr4) but it also makes it crystal clear to Russia that Finland and the Nordics/Scandinavia more generally are not to be touched. Finland's President gave Trump his backing, [telling the BBC](https://substack.com/redirect/ffeb2381-bc0b-4fa9-8870-4c4d28dcb1fb?j=eyJ1IjoiYjNxeXEifQ.3GwI9geOCoCEYpElQZon94zKK4lcJdLM40-IOmRMnr4), "Donald Trump is the "only one who can force" Russian leader Vladimir Putin to the negotiating table over the war in Ukraine." Is greater control over Ukraine worth the loss of the ability to intimidate the Northern neighbors to Russia? Probably yes.

A North South Land Bridge?

As my subscribers know, the Arctic is also the key to the abundance of space. Whoever controls Arctic-Space Communications controls the space economy. Svalbard is currently the prime location for this new hotly contested geopolitical space between Earth's North Pole and the Moon's South Pole which, to remind, is home to a vast supply of Helium 3 and water (I'm calling this hotly contested geopolitical zone the Terra Luna Space until somebody comes up with a better name). This Terra Luna Space is the beachhead to the abundance of energy, resources and

internet connectivity in space. Notice that the Tunnel of Love Bridge would connect to a much larger North South Supply Route into Russia and China as well. This makes me think the deal is not just over control over Donetsk. The superpowers are aiming for a deal regarding the distribution of resources from space. That would be so far above Q clearance that most people in superpower militaries will not be in on the discussion. Trump has not trusted his military and just hauled in the whole top ranks to a highly unusual, very short notice meeting on September 30th. [The Secretary of War emphasized](https://substack.com/redirect/6102bedf-2813-4e01-8ad8-223ae1aa0496?j=eyJ1IjoiYjNxeXEifQ.3GwI9geOCoCEYpElQZon94zKK4lcJdLM40-IOmRMnr4), "the need for a nonpartisan military and noted the oath of allegiance to the Constitution." Hmnn. Also, the President made it clear. If you don't like the strategy, get out. Interesting timing.

What makes The Russian side so sure that a peace deal is coming? Well. It's partly Trump's clear threat. He decided to go ahead and give NATO (read The Europeans) Tomahawk Cruise Missiles and then specifically said "I wish both sides good luck" but "we're out". Now, that has to be a pretty scary prospect for Russia. The idea that the Europeans and/or their Deep State allies will control such weapons is a game changer that compels Putin to negotiate. He thinks the Europeans might just be crazy enough to use Tomahawks or anything else they can get.

Plus, Trump has formally declared a war on the drug cartels, especially in Venezuela and Mexico. In my last substack I tried to remind people that Hamas, Hezbollah and other such Middle Eastern actors were deeply ensconced in Latin America, especially the [TriBorder area, Venezuela and Ecuador](https://substack.com/redirect/4144d0e8-e1bb-4810-8a22-99b05ada7215?j=eyJ1IjoiYjNxeXEifQ.3GwI9geOCoCEYpElQZon94zKK4lcJdLM40-IOmRMnr4). They work with Russian paramilitary organizations, Wagner-like groups, there. As in Africa, Latam is a critical supply chain for Russia. It's the source of essential cash crops like bananas and cash flows around drug trafficking. So, when Trump sent the Navy and Coast Guard to Venezuela, it pressured Hamas into giving in on Trump's demands. But, more was at stake than that.

There is a deeper story here. Buckle up because this story is Monopoly meets a Mexican soap opera. Expect lots of hairpin turns and support for Trump ([here's why](https://substack.com/redirect/7c4b3a59-0895-4a72-8e49-2f5a1182dabb?j=eyJ1IjoiYjNxeXEifQ.3GwI9geOCoCEYpElQZon94zKK4lcJdLM40-IOmRMnr4)). The US wants to knock international crime gangs out of its back yard. That means getting the cartels and their allies (Russia, China Hezbollah, Hamas, etc) out of Latin America and America alike. [Gary Bernsten](https://substack.com/redirect/e7a266e2-40da-4dd8-a166-37e05206d7bd?j=eyJ1IjoiYjNxeXEifQ.3GwI9geOCoCEYpElQZon94zKK4lcJdLM40-IOmRMnr4) explains one reason why at length [here](https://substack.com/redirect/6d4a4171-4e1e-4b2e-be64-16709f9a4d44?j=eyJ1IjoiYjNxeXEifQ.3GwI9geOCoCEYpElQZon94zKK4lcJdLM40-IOmRMnr4). Bernsten was a lifetime CIA officer who was three time CIA station chief in different geographies and a key American Counterterrorism Official. He says that Venezuela controls the [Del Sol Cartel](https://substack.com/redirect/3e74f406-8947-482c-a1c1-c509d5476aea?j=eyJ1IjoiYjNxeXEifQ.3GwI9geOCoCEYpElQZon94zKK4lcJdLM40-IOmRMnr4) and that Del Sol created the software and hardware behind the Smartmatic and Dominion vetoing machines used in US elections. He implies that the American Democrats aligned with Del Sol and other foreign actors to overthrow of American elections, especially the 2014 US Presidential election. The Democrats and the media fact checkers, including [Reuters, back in 2020 said](https://substack.com/redirect/b5f612db-da24-4acf-a93a-8adad4495a5e?j=eyJ1IjoiYjNxeXEifQ.3GwI9geOCoCEYpElQZon94zKK4lcJdLM40-IOmRMnr4), "Dominion is not linked to ANTIFA or Venezuela, did not switch U.S. 2020 election votes in Virginia and was not subject to a U.S. army raid in Germany". But, whistleblowers and the AI-led scouring of documents keep giving Trump greater confidence that there is an alliance between his domestic political opponents, the del Sol Cartel and other nations. Don't forget that Trump has the ultimate source now: _El Pollo_ "The Chicken". That's Hugo Armando Carvajal Barrios, the former Venezuelan military intelligence chief, who is now feeding the Trump team inside information on the del Sol Cartel which he used to run! [The Miami Herald writes](https://substack.com/redirect/180de840-d05d-43bf-bc82-7c1cbf0402fa?j=eyJ1IjoiYjNxeXEifQ.3GwI9geOCoCEYpElQZon94zKK4lcJdLM40-IOmRMnr4), "As part of the plea deal, Carvajal could receive a considerable sentence reduction if he provides "substantial assistance" to U.S. investigations. The precise terms of his cooperation remain under seal." American Glasnost is getting messier by the day as these drug kingpins rat on their American Deep State colleagues.

So, Trump has formally declared war on the cartels. This is not a small war. It is not a local war. The cartels are as sophisticated and global as Fortune 500 firms, and vastly more profitable. This will get ugly globally. My guess is that this war too will also end in a hug. Many drugs will be legalized in the US, probably under official medial supervision. Bobby Kennedy has long been a proponent of this anyway, [especially for ](https://substack.com/redirect/5279fdb1-0192-4684-811c-dad74bb34325?j=eyJ1IjoiYjNxeXEifQ.3GwI9geOCoCEYpElQZon94zKK4lcJdLM40-IOmRMnr4)psychedelics. After the [FDA recently failed to approve MDMA](https://substack.com/redirect/0d424c81-6205-4beb-a6e0-e1e5e6519aa2?j=eyJ1IjoiYjNxeXEifQ.3GwI9geOCoCEYpElQZon94zKK4lcJdLM40-IOmRMnr4) for example, [Kennedy said](https://substack.com/redirect/2d19fa5e-9385-41a5-953d-606324e4e99f?j=eyJ1IjoiYjNxeXEifQ.3GwI9geOCoCEYpElQZon94zKK4lcJdLM40-IOmRMnr4), "This line of therapeutics has tremendous advantage if given in a clinical setting and we are working very hard to make sure that happens within 12 months." That's what [Portugal did](https://substack.com/redirect/538b2d62-a63b-410e-83ab-acc2a37e0fdc?j=eyJ1IjoiYjNxeXEifQ.3GwI9geOCoCEYpElQZon94zKK4lcJdLM40-IOmRMnr4). They decriminalized drugs, thus vastly reducing the cost of enforcement and (for the most part) vastly improving the public health outcomes. Might such a decriminalization announcement happen just before the American midterm elections, one which would be a clear voter winner with America's youth? It's not hard to imagine. It fits the Kennedy timeline and Trump's "Make Love Not War" stance. If there's one thing that would really disrupt the cartels and organized crime and the cash flows of the Deep State and the next election, it would be peace deals + love drugs + tax cuts (thanks to tariff income).

Secretary of State Rubio went to Mexico and Ecuador on September 4th, two core locations for global crime gangs. Rubio announced $20m for Ecuador and [designated the two biggest gangs there as Foreign Terrorist Organizations (FTOs): Los Lobos and Los Choneros](https://substack.com/redirect/021faee1-e2de-4b6a-b8a7-8fd3864d6278?j=eyJ1IjoiYjNxeXEifQ.3GwI9geOCoCEYpElQZon94zKK4lcJdLM40-IOmRMnr4). Within 24 hours Trump positioned [fighter jets and F-35s in Puerto Rico](https://substack.com/redirect/f5966798-32b1-4c5a-9163-5ddbfd2a0daf?j=eyJ1IjoiYjNxeXEifQ.3GwI9geOCoCEYpElQZon94zKK4lcJdLM40-IOmRMnr4), indicating he was ready to use force and capable of imposing regime change in Venezuela and perhaps even in Ecuador. Remember that America's leading mercenary organization, [Erik Prince's Blackwater, was already well ensconced by then in Ecuador](https://substack.com/redirect/46155b7e-8b8b-45eb-9e50-c89416398fa0?j=eyJ1IjoiYjNxeXEifQ.3GwI9geOCoCEYpElQZon94zKK4lcJdLM40-IOmRMnr4), having established a [formal partnership](https://substack.com/redirect/c28f8fc4-d716-4a51-b51f-cca334ec2274?j=eyJ1IjoiYjNxeXEifQ.3GwI9geOCoCEYpElQZon94zKK4lcJdLM40-IOmRMnr4) with the [President, Daniel Noboa](https://substack.com/redirect/445a51a3-1829-42da-864b-7a7f186112fa?j=eyJ1IjoiYjNxeXEifQ.3GwI9geOCoCEYpElQZon94zKK4lcJdLM40-IOmRMnr4), some months before. Let's assume Prince, a huge Trump ally, secured the perimeter well before Rubio arrived. Trump had already been ratcheting up the pressure on the cartels throughout the summer by filing charges against the Sinaloa Cartel leaders, by designating [Haitian gangs](https://substack.com/redirect/ebea732a-4834-4522-8c5e-f110cd9ed83f?j=eyJ1IjoiYjNxeXEifQ.3GwI9geOCoCEYpElQZon94zKK4lcJdLM40-IOmRMnr4) and the [Cartel de los Soles as FTOs (Foreign Terrorist Organization)](https://substack.com/redirect/c26819e9-69cd-4736-9e85-c66395375a43?j=eyJ1IjoiYjNxeXEifQ.3GwI9geOCoCEYpElQZon94zKK4lcJdLM40-IOmRMnr4), and by threatening to deport Venezuelans and anybody associated with the [Tren de Aragua ](https://substack.com/redirect/91579a6b-81b8-4b8d-986f-2fef8ab78ef8?j=eyJ1IjoiYjNxeXEifQ.3GwI9geOCoCEYpElQZon94zKK4lcJdLM40-IOmRMnr4)gang. By August he had signed a [directive allowing the US to use military force against](https://substack.com/redirect/a83a05d1-5937-4a02-973d-20ca874cbb4a?j=eyJ1IjoiYjNxeXEifQ.3GwI9geOCoCEYpElQZon94zKK4lcJdLM40-IOmRMnr4) these organizations and, by August 15th, he'd sent in [4000 marines and a naval armada to the Caribbean](https://substack.com/redirect/eb5fa322-2c67-4100-9216-53385bfcd1c3?j=eyJ1IjoiYjNxeXEifQ.3GwI9geOCoCEYpElQZon94zKK4lcJdLM40-IOmRMnr4) to make good on his threats. By early September Trump started cracking drug cartel ships and subs in half without warning. On September 5th he renamed the DOD, the Department of War. A few days later, The Secretary of the Department of War visited the troops in Puerto Rico. September 15th Trump not only hits another drug trafficking ship with lethal force and [decertified Columbia ](https://substack.com/redirect/03818e24-82c8-495c-9f3d-412cfe17cf88?j=eyJ1IjoiYjNxeXEifQ.3GwI9geOCoCEYpElQZon94zKK4lcJdLM40-IOmRMnr4)from being a partner to the US in the war on drugs. Soon after, Trump stripped the Columbian President of his US visa because he was speaking at a pro-Palestinian rally during his visit to the UN General Assembly.

Meanwhile, [Salvador Rivera, a journalist, reported that the cartels had hung "narco-banners" on bridges and overpasses near the popular tourist destination of Los Cabos with threatening messages "openly threatened the lives of Americans living or visiting Mexic](https://substack.com/redirect/9063d319-933d-42c0-815c-3a0370a406b9?j=eyJ1IjoiYjNxeXEifQ.3GwI9geOCoCEYpElQZon94zKK4lcJdLM40-IOmRMnr4)o." Mexico's President now dismisses this claim. But, in response, on October 10th, [the US announced a new "Joint Task Force (JTF) under II Marine Expeditionary Force (II MEF) today to synchronize and augment counter-narcotics efforts across the Western Hemisphere. The JTF will integrate the expeditionary capabilities of II MEF with Joint Force and U.S. interagency partners, represented by the Homeland Security Task Force"](https://substack.com/redirect/16121d07-7fbf-4fad-bb7a-803f90a03108?j=eyJ1IjoiYjNxeXEifQ.3GwI9geOCoCEYpElQZon94zKK4lcJdLM40-IOmRMnr4).

In other words, Trump is making it clear - this is war. On [October 14th Trump announced that he was revoking the visas of 50+ Mexican politicians](https://substack.com/redirect/3b114c60-c322-409f-9eec-079556253705?j=eyJ1IjoiYjNxeXEifQ.3GwI9geOCoCEYpElQZon94zKK4lcJdLM40-IOmRMnr4) and the Department of Homeland Security announced that Mexican cartels are paying bounties for information about ICE agents to ANTIFA organizations and personal inside the US. They alleged that the "[Cartels have disseminated a structured bounty program to incentivize violence against federal personnel](https://substack.com/redirect/04e88e8b-640a-4fd7-a73e-48146f9a030d?j=eyJ1IjoiYjNxeXEifQ.3GwI9geOCoCEYpElQZon94zKK4lcJdLM40-IOmRMnr4)" in the form of a Tiered Bounty System, with payouts escalating based on rank and action taken: $50,000 for the assassination of high-ranking US officials, $5,000--$10,000 for kidnapping or non-lethal assaults on standard ICE/CBP officers and $2,000 for gathering intelligence or doxxing agents (including photos and family details). The focus is on Chicago's Pilsen and Little village neighborhoods, Chicago conveniently the hometown of President Obama and home to alot of people who oppose the President. By October 16th the Commander, of SOUTHCOM, who had just announced the war on the 10th, Admiral Alvin Holsey, stepped down** **without explanation.

Just the day before Holsey went, on October 15th, [President Trump announced that he was formally authorizing the CIA to carry out covert action in ](https://substack.com/redirect/c982646b-308c-4dca-9fcd-2c787e094402?j=eyJ1IjoiYjNxeXEifQ.3GwI9geOCoCEYpElQZon94zKK4lcJdLM40-IOmRMnr4)Venezuela. This is where it gets interesting because this might seem empowering to the intelligence community. But, what if factions of the US MIC (Military Industrial Complex) community are aligned with the cartels? This is not exactly a novel idea ([The Dark Alliance](https://substack.com/redirect/9f9d6a31-1ea9-4818-88c7-abfe89c2d84e?j=eyJ1IjoiYjNxeXEifQ.3GwI9geOCoCEYpElQZon94zKK4lcJdLM40-IOmRMnr4), [The Underground Empire where Crime and Governments Embrace](https://substack.com/redirect/b89ad427-94d9-40cd-810d-75fffa83762b?j=eyJ1IjoiYjNxeXEifQ.3GwI9geOCoCEYpElQZon94zKK4lcJdLM40-IOmRMnr4)). Tons of books have been written about the long history of this [strange bedfellow alliance](https://substack.com/redirect/8c3a2603-347a-426d-b287-cf063f57d548?j=eyJ1IjoiYjNxeXEifQ.3GwI9geOCoCEYpElQZon94zKK4lcJdLM40-IOmRMnr4) which is said to have existed throughout the wars in South East Asia in the 1960s and 70s and helps explain how Afghanistan produced just 185 tons of heroin in 2001 but when the US arrived the production jumped to 8200 tons by 2007. So, what if Trump announces that the official CIA is empowered to conduct covert activities against the nonofficial part or against anyone, even Americans, who might be allied with the cartels? Now we are back to the largely invisible American civil war. This is a domestic fight.

And who might be providing all kinds of intelligence on who and where those allies of the cartels might be? "El Pollo" and Russia. Why? Because Russia wants concessions on Ukraine. The superpowers are trading properties in a Monopoly moment. This is

exactly what happens in when superpowers enter into Grand Bargains. The [Washington Post reports](https://substack.com/redirect/8d6d026c-6836-472c-b836-040e78306d09?j=eyJ1IjoiYjNxeXEifQ.3GwI9geOCoCEYpElQZon94zKK4lcJdLM40-IOmRMnr4) that the White House is pressuring President Zelensky to let Donetsk go in exchange for the rest of Ukraine. Trump wrote this on Friday after meeting with Zelensky: "It is time to stop the killing, and make a DEAL! Enough blood has been shed, with property lines being defined by War and Guts. They should stop where they are. Let both claim Victory, let History decide!"

From a Russian perspective, that's a worthwhile trade - Venezuela, even all of Latin America, in exchange for Donetsk and Crimea? Bananas, drugs in exchange for a warm water port? Sure. After all, Russia won't need those Latin American based cash flows if normal relations are restored with the West. They also still have a huge presence in Africa.

Proposed US-Russia Peace Bridge and broader connections

And now, there is the possibility of a direct physical link into the US that can serve all of Asia. That Polar route would rival or compliment China's Belt and Road. It would put Russia at the center of a trade route. China has already been announcing new infrastructure projects in Russia's East. So that's exactly what Trump and Putin are now discussing -- not just a normalization of trade but the creation of a trade route between the US and Russia that connects a trade route between the two countries. A Peace Bridge connecting Russia and the US would be symbolic of the end of sanctions and the end of Russia's pariah status. This is a deal that would also knit China into these trade flows. It might be easier for Russia to get this deal done right now but China can be a beneficiary too. The Peace Bridge then becomes A Tunnel of Love in the Arctic - this is love in a cold climate. Frosty diplomatic relationships are thawing. Notice Trump's proposal to build transportation infrastructure between Alaska and the landlocked, oil and cattle rich breakaway province of Alberta in Canada. Trump is also offering then a "[$500m loan](https://substack.com/redirect/668974f9-d4c8-4516-bac6-31327f2a9e36?j=eyJ1IjoiYjNxeXEifQ.3GwI9geOCoCEYpElQZon94zKK4lcJdLM40-IOmRMnr4)" to help Alberta transition from being a province to being a country of its own. Trump had already approved a $22b A2A railway between Alberta and Alaska in 2020. Look:

But, for now, we need to remember why this moment is remarkably similar to what happened when President John F Kennedy when he was also trying to broker a peace deal with Russia in 1962/3. He too faced a breakaway military intelligence complex (MIC). Remember [Operation Northwoods](https://substack.com/redirect/178f95d5-2389-4b50-bac2-b54510a94eaa?j=eyJ1IjoiYjNxeXEifQ.3GwI9geOCoCEYpElQZon94zKK4lcJdLM40-IOmRMnr4)? The CIA proposed a massive false flag operation designed to provide justification to attack Cuba. They wanted to fabricate the shoot down of a US Air Force fighter jet, arrange for the sinking of an American ship and orchestrate terrorist attacks in various US cities including Miami where they'd pin the blame on Cuba's leader Fidel Castro, among other things. Kennedy was so horrified that he started trying to dismantle to the CIA, which brought him into direct confrontation with the CIA's leaders. It seems not totally coincidental that Russia gave their take on the JFK assassination, a 350 page affair in Russian, to [Rep. Anna Paulina Luna](https://substack.com/redirect/29cbd77b-8544-4604-be63-37cf22af1925?j=eyJ1IjoiYjNxeXEifQ.3GwI9geOCoCEYpElQZon94zKK4lcJdLM40-IOmRMnr4) a few days ago. She has uploaded it ([here](https://substack.com/redirect/984c62b0-cb27-4553-ab8a-e4dde74614ef?j=eyJ1IjoiYjNxeXEifQ.3GwI9geOCoCEYpElQZon94zKK4lcJdLM40-IOmRMnr4)) but the National Archives are, of course, closed, thanks to the government shutdown. But, this hints at the idea that Russia might be telling The President exactly which Americans are working with the cartels across Latin America. We must never forget that Putin is a spy's spy. He knows how to trade valuable information at the right time and time the most effective way. He wants Donestk and Crimea and if that means burning his drug cartel friends, so be it.

He is having to deal with his domestic critics too. Notice the pace of defenestration has picked up again in Moscow. [Vyacheslav Leontyev](https://substack.com/redirect/08a34ea6-9d19-48cd-b62b-8c07c713da67?j=eyJ1IjoiYjNxeXEifQ.3GwI9geOCoCEYpElQZon94zKK4lcJdLM40-IOmRMnr4), 87, the long time publisher of the [Pravda publishing house](https://substack.com/redirect/5a8cc423-3414-4e3e-88fb-7f206d4a6145?j=eyJ1IjoiYjNxeXEifQ.3GwI9geOCoCEYpElQZon94zKK4lcJdLM40-IOmRMnr4), the official newspaper of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union (CPSU), "[threw himself from his fifth-floor apartment in Moscow](https://substack.com/redirect/8b8bd3db-7a9b-4f36-9a4a-40b947cc67a5?j=eyJ1IjoiYjNxeXEifQ.3GwI9geOCoCEYpElQZon94zKK4lcJdLM40-IOmRMnr4)" on October 6th. Newsweek wrote, "Andrey Malgin, an exiled opposition journalist who knew Leontyev, said in a social-media post that the ex-publisher knew a lot about the [Communist] party's money." Might some of that money be Venezuela or Latin American crime gang sourced? It doesn't really matter now. What matters is that Trump wants Venezuela and Putin wants Crimea/Donetsk/Luhansk and [Trump wants Zelensky to understand that this is "Let's Make a Deal"](https://substack.com/redirect/a1890f8d-c50d-47e7-9b9b-826439551e63?j=eyJ1IjoiYjNxeXEifQ.3GwI9geOCoCEYpElQZon94zKK4lcJdLM40-IOmRMnr4).

Now throw in the surprise double twist of the Nobel Peace Prize this year. The winner this year, [Maria Corina Machado](https://substack.com/redirect/d548c33e-12b9-4faa-846e-483161b66486?j=eyJ1IjoiYjNxeXEifQ.3GwI9geOCoCEYpElQZon94zKK4lcJdLM40-IOmRMnr4), immediately dedicated her Nobel Peace Prize to Trump arguing that her efforts to oppose Maduro's dictatorship are supported by Trump's naval armada and hard line stance against the cartels. But, then [Trump pulled the rug out from underneath the new Nobel Prize winner](https://substack.com/redirect/fc073a52-403e-44f9-ad3a-2e05bfca836e?j=eyJ1IjoiYjNxeXEifQ.3GwI9geOCoCEYpElQZon94zKK4lcJdLM40-IOmRMnr4), claiming he did not know her and had made no commitments to her. Trump does not want to be seen by his base as someone who is pushing for regime change for its own sake. These days Democrats do regime change. Not Trump. He is prosecuting the Democrats for their efforts to do regime change (using USAID and various other off the books channels). and does not want to be seen as a person doing regime change of his own. But, is Trump willing to trade Venezuela for Ukraine? Yes. Is Venezuela going to have a regime change if Trump and Russia agree to this trade? Probably. But, it will be a case of prosecution of traffickers rather than a regime change strategy.

This approach also helps Trump show the world that there are rewards for friends and penalties for enemies. Notice that Qatari based Al Jazeera wrote,_ _[How Trump got his Nobel Peace Prize after all](https://substack.com/redirect/119c7a9d-fb6c-42fe-b9bf-3dcdebcbc47f?j=eyJ1IjoiYjNxeXEifQ.3GwI9geOCoCEYpElQZon94zKK4lcJdLM40-IOmRMnr4). Well the Qatari's helped broker the peace deal with Hamas, and are now being integrated into [a new US Air Command in Idaho](https://substack.com/redirect/eb0c4bad-da4c-4022-9259-f9877960b0ee?j=eyJ1IjoiYjNxeXEifQ.3GwI9geOCoCEYpElQZon94zKK4lcJdLM40-IOmRMnr4). It seems only yesterday ([air strikes on Doha were only a month ago](https://substack.com/redirect/fc1c0b83-9b57-48f8-aba4-f8d979d88fbf?j=eyJ1IjoiYjNxeXEifQ.3GwI9geOCoCEYpElQZon94zKK4lcJdLM40-IOmRMnr4)) that Qatar was seen as an enemy of Israel and the US because it was protecting Hamas. Trump deals have fast turnarounds.

Trump is clearly and repeatedly signaling that there are real rewards for aligning with the US. The same is true with Argentina which got a [$20b bailout from the US](https://substack.com/redirect/0440cfba-3bb2-46fc-b0fc-7577fec69a9b?j=eyJ1IjoiYjNxeXEifQ.3GwI9geOCoCEYpElQZon94zKK4lcJdLM40-IOmRMnr4) (or maybe even [$40b](https://substack.com/redirect/bdebe69a-bbf7-461e-a7c5-cf0d004a5c7e?j=eyJ1IjoiYjNxeXEifQ.3GwI9geOCoCEYpElQZon94zKK4lcJdLM40-IOmRMnr4) bailout) and which has now been chosen as the place that OpenAI intends to open its newest [Stargate AI data center in Patagonia](https://substack.com/redirect/20535f1c-8506-4f87-976f-e66ff9313abc?j=eyJ1IjoiYjNxeXEifQ.3GwI9geOCoCEYpElQZon94zKK4lcJdLM40-IOmRMnr4). That's a great way to leapfrog Argentina into an AI-led world. This is also Trump showing Latam that there are other ways to make money than drugs.

Where is China in all this? That's better left for another article but, again, let's just say that President Putin is a former master spy. President Xi is not. Trump and Xi are set to meet in South Korea soon. But, notice that the Secretary of the Treasury keeps emphasizing the idea that some Chinese announcements might not be announcements by President Xi but instead proclamations of underlings who are "overreaching". Bessent "told CNBC a lower-level Chinese trade official had threatened to "unleash chaos" if the U.S. went ahead with port fees on Chinese ships in August. "There was a lower-level trade person who was slightly unhinged here in August ... saying that China would unleash chaos on the global system if the U.S. went ahead with our docking fees for Chinese ships." The key here is that Trump and his team are refusing to derail the potential peace process by responding to China's efforts to escalate the confrontation. Why? Well it is no coincidence that there are huge purges going on in Beijing right now. [Bloomberg calls this the biggest purge since Mao](https://substack.com/redirect/65255d63-4bc6-46bf-9235-c9ea515b6783?j=eyJ1IjoiYjNxeXEifQ.3GwI9geOCoCEYpElQZon94zKK4lcJdLM40-IOmRMnr4). It involves the arrests of at least 9 top Generals including the first firing of a General at the level of the [CMC](https://substack.com/redirect/07c43ffc-58db-456e-9900-963f524730ff?j=eyJ1IjoiYjNxeXEifQ.3GwI9geOCoCEYpElQZon94zKK4lcJdLM40-IOmRMnr4) since The Cultural Revolution. But, who is doing who? Is this Xi? Or are these Generals Xi's people? Meanwhile, notice that China is also going after crime gangs. China just sentenced 11 ringleaders of Myanmar organized crime networks too. Whose allies are those? This is bigger than an anti-corruption crackdown now. Just as the US is having a fight between internal factions, so is China. That too explains why the Trump team will keep giving leeway to the Chinese leadership by not responding to statements made by underlings. This makes sense if you are not yet sure which faction is winning in China. Thus everything and everybody is up for grabs. Trump just suggested that he might create a "victory fund" "[for Ukraine to buy weapons with the proceeds from tariffs levied against Beijing for its purchases of Russian oil](https://substack.com/redirect/1a9b3931-b942-44c1-a1dd-d6f7a566eb7e?j=eyJ1IjoiYjNxeXEifQ.3GwI9geOCoCEYpElQZon94zKK4lcJdLM40-IOmRMnr4)".

Meanwhile, somebody is revealing a good deal about Beijing's spy game, especially in Europe. It's a spy game that's proving highly controversial across [the UK](https://substack.com/redirect/e31b91b3-e22c-41dc-9457-85ea615cab43?j=eyJ1IjoiYjNxeXEifQ.3GwI9geOCoCEYpElQZon94zKK4lcJdLM40-IOmRMnr4), Europe and even the US. It's the US allegations that are most interesting. The Trump team have announced their intention to trace any foreign money behind [ANTIFA and its "affinity groups"](https://substack.com/redirect/d7d92c90-8e7f-4b26-9f5d-39eeeeb627b0?j=eyJ1IjoiYjNxeXEifQ.3GwI9geOCoCEYpElQZon94zKK4lcJdLM40-IOmRMnr4), especially now that ANTIFA is being designated as a [Domestic Terror Organization](https://substack.com/redirect/0b86b77b-b3c3-4a26-88d7-e96a546a4edf?j=eyJ1IjoiYjNxeXEifQ.3GwI9geOCoCEYpElQZon94zKK4lcJdLM40-IOmRMnr4)". Now we are back to [America's internal civil war](https://substack.com/redirect/c9c4eb6a-5901-4253-a9b5-f29afa1e9506?j=eyJ1IjoiYjNxeXEifQ.3GwI9geOCoCEYpElQZon94zKK4lcJdLM40-IOmRMnr4) again. Will Putin be happy to help Trump get a grip on how ANTIFA financing works and how the Soros-backed NGO's might also have been involved and aligned with foreign funding? Putin sees Soros and his web of NGO's as the enemy. So does Trump. Notice the [arrest of Mikael "El Griego" in Mexico](https://substack.com/redirect/9efafd9a-8222-4e24-9175-a17a3f12bf13?j=eyJ1IjoiYjNxeXEifQ.3GwI9geOCoCEYpElQZon94zKK4lcJdLM40-IOmRMnr4). He is said to run the biggest drug cartel in Sweden. [Malmö and Gothenberg are said to have turned into important organized crime hubs in recent years](https://substack.com/redirect/72c70243-94e4-4dd4-9db8-4e98ecbec208?j=eyJ1IjoiYjNxeXEifQ.3GwI9geOCoCEYpElQZon94zKK4lcJdLM40-IOmRMnr4). Will the Scandinavian countries be grateful to Trump if helps them clamp down on this problem? Yes.

The bottom line here is that peace deals in the Middle East and Ukraine depend on the continuation of certain wars elsewhere - places that we don't usually consider - like Latam, space, and the Arctic. These are property swaps. Russia takes more of Ukraine, or gets better terms in Ukraine, and the US gets arrests in Venezuela and gets to successfully ringfence Finland, the Nordics and Scandinavia while clearing organized crime out of Sweden. Russia supplies the US with real dossiers on the people who created [imaginary dossiers](https://substack.com/redirect/1bd50c8b-2540-45c8-8d79-af5d7eb50f4f?j=eyJ1IjoiYjNxeXEifQ.3GwI9geOCoCEYpElQZon94zKK4lcJdLM40-IOmRMnr4) that were designed to undermine The President. This reveals who is aligned with the drug cartels. Trump gets to cut off Deep State cash flows while the Deep State finds it harder and harder to argue that there is no Deep State as their top leaders face legal discovery and their cartel buddies sing.

All this leaves us with something new to consider - the critical role of the Arctic-Lunar space. After all, the Peace Deal is now centered on the Arctic. The geography of the Arctic has become central to geopolitics. I talked about the Arctic as a new geopolitical hot zone that everyone in the space race gets but few others comprehend. So, here's the deal. The superpowers are racing into space in order to secure the ultimate prize - unlimited energy, unlimited resources and unlimited internet connectivity. Specifically, the race is on to control the massive supply of Helium-3 (³He) at the South Pole of the moon (See my article "[No Laughing Matter](https://substack.com/redirect/1a82647e-1a1a-41cb-b2f1-eb1ef95d0864?j=eyJ1IjoiYjNxeXEifQ.3GwI9geOCoCEYpElQZon94zKK4lcJdLM40-IOmRMnr4)" from last week) because that's the key to nuclear fusion, to the cooling needed for quantum computing and to the refining of rare earth's. Access to this abundance depends on satellite to earth to subsea cable connections which happen at Svalbard because the Arctic is stationary. Not spinning. So, the Arctic is central to the peace deal because it's the gateway to the abundance of space. Iceland, Greenland, Denmark and others must wake up to this and stake out their place in the new post peace deal/Terra Luna space.

This is one of the most complex moments we've seen in geopolitics for decades. Yalta+.
